Brief Description: Right fuel tank access and filler neck
The fuel tank access panel is secured to the inboard bulkhead by nut plates. This requires drilling out the nut plate holes, dimpling the bulkhead and countersinking the stiffener ring before riveting on the nut plates, see image 1. I also match drilled the fuel tank filler neck to the tank skin. The filler neck must be countersunk and the skin must be dimpled. The filler neck also has a bracket attached to support the fuel tank vent tube. The bracket is made from .025 aluminium sheet from stock, see image 2.
